Welcome to Aligned Pilates, and home to me, Carmen Lanteigne passionate student and teacher of a method of corrective exercise called Pilates, named after the man who invented it - Joseph Pilates.

As a teacher of Pilates I love to help people who are seeking more for themselves especially if that is about feeling better in the body, the whole body! There are many reasons for people to try Pilates and my job is to help people with a plan that I know personally will get the best results. Trust me, when I was a thirty something mom running after a 2 and 4 year old in my beat up gymnast body, I could barely keep up. I knew I needed something, anything, that was going to make me feel good again. Today, in my mid fifties, it’s Pilates that I believe has been the most sustainable form of exercise and I feel great!

I work with people wherever they are at in life. I’ve helped many over the years learn and fall in love with practicing Joseph Pilates method of exercise and for street credibility I’ve been doing this since 2005. I’ve developed a plan that has help hundreds of people feel wonderful because of they practice Pilates. In fact, people love their Pilates so much it’s usually their body, not the guilt of from the mind, that reminds them how good it feels to move!

If you are looking for something that will make you feel vibrant, light, and full of energy Pilates might just be what you’re looking for.

My JUMP START to Pilates is where you begin. For 3 weeks, you and I meet twice a week learning what you need start in motion your Pilates practice. Then you and 2 other students can workout in our AP WORKOUTS under my guidance. With some time spent in AP WORKOUTS and if you want more we’ll add some Self Practice to your weekly schedule making it affordable to train 3 times a week. Yes, it will take a commitment from you 3 times a week to get the quickest results you are looking for in your body.

Joseph Pilates method of exercise works. I seen people’s lives (and their bodies) change for the better and if you are willing to work with a few of my suggestions we’ll get along marvelously. Pilates will become a part of your lifestyle.

I am also the director of THE PROGRAM™, a Pilates apprenticeship for students seeking teacher training or deepening their level of Pilates.

You will find me on the floor in the studio, guiding students in-person or online in private and group workouts, creating an entertaining atmosphere by giving my unapologetic opinion on Pilates, Pop-Culture, and what is currently streaming on Netflix.

Besides Pilates, I like to think I'm cool living a life uncomplicated by stuff, allowing me the luxury of time to be available for my family, friends, and Pablo Grande, my youngest son. He happens to have a full fur body suit.

If you ask me the question, "Who is Pilates for?" 

My answer goes something like this:

"Pilates is for the body, whatever the Person's background, level of Fitness, or learning ability."

BUT,

"I will need a commitment from you at the beginning of no less than twice a week."

It takes patience and lots of repetition, and with time people find their groove and begin to feel the difference in the body.

If you are willing to commit to the process, then I think we can work together wonderfully.
